Evey 9th day of January, people gather here to join the procession accompanying the life-sized, dark-skinned statue of Jesus Christ. It is usually the single largest festival of the year in the Philippines. Today the number of devotees who joined the procession swelled to 80,000 in Quiapo, Manila.
