It’s sad to say that Chris Medina was eliminated together with Jacee Badeaux last night on American Idol Season 10. I’m happy also that our very own Clint Jun Gamboa and Thia Megia were part of the finalists. Here are the Top 24 American Idol 2011 Finalists.

American Idol Season 10 Episode 01

Last night, I watched American Idol Season 10 premiere with new set of judges. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez replaced Kara DioGardi, Ellen DeGeneres and the creator or American Idol, Simon Cowell. Host Ryan Seacrest remains as well Randy Jackson as judge. I noticed that AI is different now, without Simon to critic the contestants and Ellen to make fun of them. But I like Tyler’s shouting (like what he did in the song I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing ^_^ ) and JLo’s difficult saying “no” to contestants.

American Idol Season Nine

Yes, it’s the ninth season of American Idol premiered Tuesday night on Fox (today MediaCorp Channel 5 @ 10:30pm). Audition starts at Boston, Massachusetts with judging panel Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham.

Beckham is the first celebrity judges in the first audition series including Shania Twain, Joe Jonas, Mary J. Blige and Katy Perry. Ellen DeGeneres will be the new judge replacing Paula Abdul in the rest of the season. Next audition will be in Atlanta, Georgia.

American Idol Bikini Girl: Katrina Darrell

I watched the preview of American Idol Season 8 and saw one of the participant singing “Vision of Love” wearing an Ed Hardy bikini and high heels. Her name is Katrina Darrell, 20-year-old from Chino Hills, California. Watch the YouTube trailer below:

Renaldo Lapuz: American Idol Texas Audition

While searching American Idol Season 7 in YouTube, I was surprised because there was a Filipino who joined the audition. He is Ronaldo Lapuz, 44-years old from Reno, Nevada who entered the American Idol audition in Dallas, Texas. Wearing a flashy silver cape, white adornments and white hat that had Simon written on it. Renaldo sung his original composition titled: We’re Brothers Forever and Simon Cowell was unimpressed at first but later on he waves his hands to him. Randy Jackson was so amused while Paula Abdul stood up from her seat and motioned.

Randy went up to Renaldo and belted out the lyrics: “I am your brother / your best friend forever / singing these songs / the music that you love / We’re brothers till the end of time / together or not, you’re always in my mind.” After that Simon gave his appraisal to Renaldo for his performance and said it’s going to be No but he told that it’s going to be a hit record.
