Wordpress 3.3 Sonny Released

Wordpress.org released latest version of their blogging software – Wordpress 3.3 “Sonny”. Who is Sonny and why? He is the great jazz saxophonist Sonny Stitt and Wordpress named it in honor to him. One of the best feature in their latest update is the drag-and-drop uploader where you can upload all media files by dragging it (thanks to HTML5). Watch the video below for other features:

I learned that Google has new sign-in page and it’s more simplier than the previous one.

I read in the newspaper today that Twitter acquires third-party desktop client TweetDeck after months of rumors. Twitter paid $40 million in cash and stock for TweetDeck as the winner in a bidding war with rival UberMedia.

Whoa! 13 million views on YouTube, Star Wars: Darth Vader Kid making waves on Twitter and Facebook. Volkswagen commercial for Passat 2012 entitled “The Force” was uploaded in YouTube on February 2nd and will be air on 2011 Super Bowl. This is one of the cutest commercial I ever seen where pint-sized Darth Vader attempts to use force to threadmill, dog, washing machines, baby doll, his Mom serving him sandwhich and finally his Dad’s car. CityVille is now the biggest game in Facebook averaging over 84 million monthly users. The game was released on December 2010 developed by Zynga attracting 290k players on its launch day. Reached the most monthly active users last, January 2, 2011 breaking the record of FarmVille (another browser-based game by Zynga).

CityVille is a fun game where you can be a mayor of virtual city and build houses, shops, community buildings, shipyards and farms. You can also put decorations such as trees, flower patch, picnic table, fence, etc.

I enjoy watching the new NikeFootball.com World Cup ad featuring Nike’s football superstars Wayne Rooney, Didier Drogba, Landon Donovan, Favio Cannavaro, Cristiano Ronaldo and my favorite Ronaldo de Assis Moreira also known as Ronaldinho. The “Write the Future” commercial is directed by Alejandro Inarritu with cameos from Roger Federer (playing table tennis with Rooney) and Kobe Bryant (doing Ronaldinho moves).
