Sumo Paint Beta launched
I found this new web-based software that closely related to MS Paint, Photoshop and Illustrator. Sumo Paint beta brings illustration tools to the web. It offers selection tools, gradients, paint bucket, layers and blending modes, and some filters. The brushes tool offers options to control size, opacity, scatter, random rotate and gravity, considerably more than you’ll find in alternative offerings. There’s also an ink tool and a pencil tool and a shapes tool for creating your artwork.

Jennifer Hudson Family Tragedy
One of the finalists in American Idol season 3 Jennifer Hudson is now in grief after her 57-year-old mother, Darnell Donerson, and her 29-year-old brother, Jason, were shot dead inside Donerson’s home, in Chicago, Illinois. On October 24, Chicago police arrested a suspect, William Balfour, 27, the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister Julia, but he was not charged with any crime. Balfour is on parole and spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possession of a stolen vehicle. The Illinois Department of Corrections’ records reveal one of Balfour’s addresses to be the home where Donerson and Jason Hudson were murdered. On October 27, 2008, the body of a young boy was found in a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban parked on a street in Chicago’s West Side area. The license plate and the vehicle’s description matched that of the AMBER Alert. The F.B.I. later confirmed that body was Hudson’s nephew, Julian King [Wikipedia]
Major League Baseball: World Series 2008
The World Series is the championship series of Major League Baseball and the culmination of the sport’s postseason each October and November. Since the Series takes place in mid-autumn, sportswriters many years ago dubbed the event the Fall Classic; it is also sometimes known as the October Classic or simply “The Series.”
The World Series is played between the champion clubs of the American League and the National League, which collectively include 29 clubs based in the United States and one club from Canada. The “modern” World Series has been an annual event since 1903. Baseball has employed various championship formulas since the 1860s. iBangle Design Concept
Christmas is nearly coming and finding gifts for my family is not easy. I’m thinking to buy for them a desktop computer or MP3 player. While checking the price of iPod Shuffle online, I saw this iBangle design concept by Gopinath Prasana. It’s an MP3 player in a form of bangle. I found it cool because it has a multi-touch track pad for you to control your playlist and come out with different wrist sizes. I will wait for this gadget and hope they will release it soon.
Fennec the new mobile-browser of Mozilla
Mozilla has released an alpha version of its mobile browser called Fennec. The browser will be available this coming Friday at Mozilla’s download section. Fennec features tabbed browsing and bookmarks with touchscreen support. It also supports geo-location also introduced into Firefox. The alpha release is currently available for OS2008 (Maemo) software platforms for Nokia N810 internet tablets.

Dell releases a high-end Precision M6400 Covet notebook with Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53GHz processor, NVIDIA Quadro FX3700M 1GB video card, 2GB RAM (max. 16GB), 160GB hard drive with free fall sensor and 17-inch LED backlit display. The price starts from $3,900 upwards.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 for $800
The world’s smallest interchangeable lens camera Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 will be available in November 2008 with 14045m / F3.5-5.6 kit lens. This is much lighter than DSLR but users can change the lenses. A telephoto lens (45/200mm / F4.0-5.6 OIS micro 4/3) will be available also for $350. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 comes with black, red and blue colors.
